Patio Dining @ Shaw Cafe & Wine Bar, Niagara on the Lake

We visited Niagara on the Lake and had lunch at Shaw Cafe seeing that it was packed with people sitting outside their beautiful Patio. The Lunch Menu is what you would expect from your typical Cafe with Salads, Sandwiches, Pastas and a selection of Entrees.




Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad

The Cafe was generous with the Chicken giving me an entire leg. The Chicken was quite tender and Romaine was fresh and Crispy. The dressing tasted like a really good store bought dressing.


Barbecue Chicken

The Chicken was very tender and was basted with some BBQ Sauce that tasted similar to Ketchup. It came with a really good Potato Salad.


Penne Pasta

The Penne was cooked perfect Al Dente and was delicious with the artichokes, Asparagus, Red Onions, Black Olives and Spinach in a Creamy Sun Dried Tomato Pesto with Asiago Cheese and fresh herbs.


Verdict
Food: The portions qwew generous especially my Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad which came with a generous amount of Chicken Meat. Quality of the food was decent with my favorite being the Penne Pasta.

Service: Service was a little slow and unfriendly with our waitress forgetting our requests on several occasions and rarely smiling.

Interior: The Restaurant has a huge Patio that is great during Summer time where people could dine and enjoy the weather with a glass of wine.
