My second night in Vegas saw my niece, Phoebe taking us to a posh restaurant at Wynn called Lakeside. Headed by the Steak-Guru David Walzog, Lakeside as the name implies specializes Seafood.
Bread Basket
King Crab and Guacamole
My favorite appetizer of the night. I loved the meaty of the King Crab which went well with the fresh Guacamole
Fried Risotto Balls
These were really good. The Balls had a nice crisp exterior and was stuffed with some Mozarella Cheese. It went well with the Truffle and Creme Fraiche
Big-Eye Tuna Poke
Similar to a Tuna Tartare the Tuna Poke was very fresh with chunks of diced Tuna tossed in a sesame oil dressing
Fried Calamari
The Calamari was crispy and packed quite some heat. It was seasoned well and went well with the Ancho Chilli Aioli
South Australian Lobster Tail
The Lobster had a very meaty texture but was a little chewy and dry from being a little over cooked. The Flavor from the meat however was good
Fennel Crust Halibut
Dover Sole
Seared Atlantic Sea Scallops
20oz Ribeye
The Rib Eye was cooked Medium and was well seasoned. It had a nice Char Exterior and was very tender with the right amount of marbling
Yellowfin Tuna Au Poivre
Alaskan Crab Macaroni and Cheese
I really enjoyed the Mac and Cheese. It had nice chunks of King Crab Meat and was topped with Bread Crumbs
Assorted Petit Fours
Caramelized Bananas
Most of the food we had at Lakeside were very good with the exception of the Lobster which was a little overcooked. My favorites of the night were their appetizers of King Crab Guacamole, Fried Calamari and Risotto Balls.
