Recently opened, Steam Room took over the former Dicken's Location in Richmond Hill serving Cantonese Cuisine with an emphasis on Steamed Dishes. The restaurant offers a variety of set menus that are decently priced.
Soup of the Day
Stir-Fried Beef with Garlic
Another solid dish. The Beef was marinated with a soy marinade and had a nice crisp texture.
Poached Chicken
This was really good. The Chicken was tender and the natural flavor of the Chicken was well drawn out.
Stir-Fried Garoupa Slices with Ginger and Bell Pepper
My least favorite of the dish. The Fish slices were velvety smooth from the Corn Starch Marinade but it was not my favorite.
Baked Crab with Rice on Lotus Leaf
This was a favorite of mine. The Rice was not too sticky and the flavor of the crab was imparted into the rice.
Steam Pork Ribs with Black Bean Sauce
A favorite of mine during Dim Sum. The Pork Ribs was not too salty and was very tender. It was however a little oily.
Steam Egg
One of the smoothest Steamed Egg I had. The texture was almost like a custard.
Steam Lobster with Garlic
The Lobster Meat had a nice bite and was very juicy. The minced Garlic did not overpower the flavor of the Lobster.
The Food at Steam Kitchen was really good! My friends and I liked nearly every dish on our set menu. The price was also decent at only CAD $120 for 8 people!
