Dim Sum @ Wonderful Seafood Restaurant

This restaurant has been around for a few months but due to it's size and looks we never thought it served Dim Sum until my friend told me about it.

Working on Victoria Day we decided to head there for lunch and ordered quite a few Dim Sum dishes. For such a small place I would have never thought that they would serve such good Dim Sum. We ordered quite a few items and the bill including tips and taxes was only CAD $72.

This place is definitely worth a visit for anyone that is looking for a new Dim Sum Restaurant to try!

Steamed Pork Ribs
Steamed Pork Ribs
The Pork Ribs was meaty and very tender. Most of the ribs also had some cartilage bone to it which I enjoy eating.

Cha Leong
Cha Leong
Their Cha Leong comes with pork floss which gives it a nice sweet and salty flavor. I would have wished the cruller's would be a little more crispier.

Lo Mai Fan
Lo Mai Fan (Glutinous Rice in Lotus Leaf)

Preserved Egg and Minced Pork Porridge

I really liked the porridge. The porridge was thick and had the right amount of salt. It also had generous amounts of minced pork and preserved egg.

Bun with Egg Yolk Filling
Bun with Sweet Egg Yolk Filling
Bun with Sweet Egg Yolk Filling
This is their signature dish. The bun came piping hot. Upon breaking the bun into half the creamy egg yolk filling came oozing out. It was absolutely delicious! The bun was soft and the filling had the right amount of sweetness. We ordered another round of it.

Vegetable and Beef Cheong Fan

Beef Cheong Fan
I've never had Vegetable Cheong Fan before. The vegetables were lightly blanched which gave the Cheong Fan a nice crunch. Both Cheong Fans' rice noodles were very soft and smooth.

Har Kow
Har Kow (Prawn Dumplings)
Like most Dim Sum places in Toronto Har Kow here is excellent. The prawns were large, perfectly cooked and seasoned and the skin was quite thin.

Chiu Chow Fan Kok
Chiu Chow Fan Kok
I don't usually order this but it was good. The peanuts inside gave the dumpling a nice crunch and the skin wasn't too thick.

Siew Mai
Siew Mai
The Siew Mai is quite good. Well seasoned and large what I liked most was the big prawns that they put on top which gave it a nice texture to the meat.

Beef Tripe
Beef Intestines
The beef tripe did not have any smell to it and was very tender.

Deep Fried Eggplant:

Deep Fried Prawn Spring Roll

The skin was of spring roll was very crispy and the prawns inside were plump and juicy.

The spring roll was crispy and had some pork filling that tasted like char siew.

Boiled Choy Sum:

Our only vegetable dish. The Choi Sum was blanched briefly to retain it's color and crunchiness.

Haha ya Dim Sum in Toronto is actually comparable with HK. If you have the time to visit let me know. I can show you around :)
