Lunch @ Nak Won Korean Restaurant

Over the months, there were quite a few Korean Restaurants that have sprung up on First Markham Place. Nak Won is the biggest of them all and this was where we had our lunch today.

Assorted Korean Side Dishes

Our sides included Kim-Chi, Salad, Chap Chae and Pickled Raddish to name a few. There's not much to say since nothing was good nor bad

Spicy Pork Bone Soup (Gam Ja Tang)
Spicy Pork Bone Soup (Gam Ja Tang)
The Gam Ja Tang is milder than what you would find in Korea Town. What I liked was the generous amount of meat that was found on the pork bones which was really tender and absorbed a lot of the soup's flavor

Korean Spicy Tofu Stew (Tofu Chigae)

This was the spiciest of the three dishes we had. I liked the texture of the tofu which was very soft.

Spicy Cod Fish Stew (Dae Gu Tang)
Spicy Cod Fish Stew (Dae Gu Tang)
The stew consisted of cod fish with assorted vegetables of cabbage, carrots and tofu. It was relatively mild in flavor and heat.

We were stuffed from the dishes we had but found the food to be mediocre. There are definitely better restaurants around Korea Town or the Yonge and Finch area.
