Kim and I came home from work around 9:30pm and decided to eat around our neighborhood. We weren't really sure what to eat but decided to settle on Penang Village having not visited this place once despite being opened for quite a number of years.
Penang Village serves up Malaysian Local Favorites with an emphasis on Penang and Penang Nyonya Delicacies. Hungry we ordered quite a few dishes to share.
Otak-Otak
One of my favorite dishes to order when I'm in Malaysia or Thailand. The mix spices and fish were blended together and then molded like mini cakes that is then steamed.
Shredded Chicken with Koay Teow Soup
I enjoyed the Koay Teow which was very soft. The Soup had a nice sweetness to it. I only wished they put in more shredded chicken meat.
Chicken Kapitan Curry
I'm no curry expert. The Chicken Kapitan Curry in my opinion tasted like a normal Malaysian Curry except it is a little sweeter. The chicken was fork tender and the gravy was excellent with rice.
Stir-Fried Assorted Vegetables
The vegetables were served wokking-hot and was very fragrant with the addition of minced Fried Garlic.
We were pretty stuffed after all the dishes. Penang Village in my opinion is a perfect place for people that are craving for some Penang Food but would want to have it in a restaurant setting.
