Fish Fillet with Szechuan Peppercorns @ Bai Sui Food, Ningbo

It's been a long while since I last visited Ningbo and I'm back for a couple of days. Knowing I love fish my colleagues brought me to a popular place called Bai Sui Food. This place is known for its multi-course Hot Pot which begins with a whopping 1.6KG Fresh Water Fish that is Stir-Fried with Szechuan Peppercorns.

The Fish was sooo good! It was moist, tender but was still firm. It went well with the fragrant Szechuan Peppercorns. The three of us finished the whole pot!


Course 2: Soup
Second Course: Soup
Once we ate all of the fish our waitress came with some Chicken Stock and converted it into Soup. The soup was oily but it was really flavorful from the Rich Chicken Stock and aromatic Szechuan Peppercorns.


Course 3: Hotpot
Lamb Slices
Stuffed Beef Balls
Our third and final course was Hot Pot. We ordered Lamb Slices, Beef and Stuffed Beef Balls. The Beef Balls were really good!.


I really enjoyed the Fish in Bai Sui Food. It was tender and tasted really good with the Szechuan Broth. The Beef Balls were also delicious. Do go a little early as the place tends to get quite packed and do bring someone that can speak Chinese.

I love Szechuan cuisine, I love the hot ...... ice water, please!
