Belon @ Banyan Tree, Macau

We paid a visit to the Vegas of the East for the weekend and stayed at the Banyan Tree Macau. Celebrating my friend's Bachelor Party we had dinner at the Hotel's signature restaurant Belon.

Porcini Consomme
Mushroom Ravioli
The Consomme was a little too bland for my liking. The Ravioli did not have much Mushroom Filling and was rather hard.

Cold Seafood Platter
Cold Seafood Platter
My favorite of the night. Our platter came with Boston Lobster, Oysters, Alaskan King Crab, Red Prawn, Diamond Clam, Hokkaido Scallops Ceviche, Marinated Boston Mussels and Garlic Poached Calamari. The Red Prawn was really sweet.

Grey Pomfret
Grey Pomfret
The Grey Pomfret was quite good. The meat was made into a Mousse that tasted like a meatier Fish Ball. It went well with the Soy Reduction. However the dish was not perfect with the Chicken Skin soggy and the Vegetable Roll tasting rather bland.
