Cakes @ Rischart (Munich Day 2)

Visiting Marienplatz we decided to have a coffee break at Richart after viewing the number of delicious cakes and baked goodies on display.

There were quite a number of cakes to choose from but I finally settled on the largest cake. I have no idea what it was called but it was a berry cake that has a gelatin of mixed berries and a delicious sponge that was filled with strawberry cream and some biscuit crumbs. The cake was really good! It had a nice balance between the sweet sponge and the sour gelatin berries and the crumbs gave the cake a nice crunch.

Phin had the Chocolate Mousse Torte which was also very good. Using dark chocolate the cake wasn't too sweet and had a slight bitter taste. I also liked how the cake did not feel too rich since the velvety mousse was layered with thin slices of dark chocolate sponge.

Phin also had a cup of Hot Chocolate which I did not taste because I was stuffed from the cakes.
