Hotpot @ MK Restaurant

I arrived in Bangkok around 5pm and headed straight to pick May and her sister up for dinner. Raining and hungry we decided to eat inside a shopping mall and chose MK since it was the only decent restaurant that had some seats available.

Being a Thai-Sukiyaki chain, we ordered a beef set which came with a plate of vegetables. The beef was quite lean but given the price we can’t really complaint.

We also ordered 2 plates of pork, a plate of fish head, salmon balls and their spinach noodles. The spinach noodles were cooked al dente and had a nice springy texture. Together with the dressing of fried garlic, sweetened light soy and sesame oil it was really good!

Last but not least we also had a plate of Roast Duck. The skin was soggy but the duck had a nice and aromatic flavor from the marinade and sauce. The meat was also quite tender and it had just the right amount of fat.

Compared with similar steamboat chains like Johnny’s at One-Utama MK tastes much better and has better value. The entire meal only set us back THB 920.
