I've never had Chiu Chow Food in Hong Kong before until Eric's grandpa took me to Sheung Hing for dinner.
The restaurant's decor maybe very simple but the food was really good. Their cold crab was one of my favorite. The meat was sweet and the roe was really creamy and rich. One did not need any vinegar to go with this simple but well prepared crab.
Hong Siew Sharks Fin was also excellent. The sharks fin had a nice bite and the superior soup stock was packed a lot of flavor and was thick.
Another of their signature dish was their Fish Soup where the fish is first deep fried and then boiled with other ingredients to make the soup.
Other dishes we had also included Soyed Goose Feet and Goose Wings, Black-Pepper Chicken and Stir-Fried Rice Noodles.
According to Eric's grandpa this is one of the better places to have Chiu Chow Food when in HK. I'm not surprised as well after noticing the collage of local celebrity photos that have dined at this place.
